Cabinet recommended to council the £4.027m (priority flood repair works) be added to the Capital Programme, this was approved 23 July 2020.

A further decision was taken 8 October 2021 to reallocate the budgets as below.

The Fownhope Flood Repair works are complete but is closing out in regards to finance, the Whitney Scheme is now complete. The allocated budget was more than the actual cost, this decision will utilise the unspent budget.

The contingency spend is available to support the various sites, the additional schemes have been developed and delivery is expected in March, to provide improved benefit to the network.
A contingency will remain to cover claims resulting from direct impact of the flood works.
