To award a contract for the Predict and Prevent Alarm receiving Centre to Mole Valley Life

The Alarm Receiving Centre is a key component of the Predict and Prevent (P&P) model of care which is a key outcome of the TEC Programme and is expected to provide Herefordshire with significant value in long term cost avoidance and more efficient allocation of resources.

Predict & Prevent (P&P) services use technology to capture data around everyday activities, creating a baseline of each individual user’s normal pattern of behavior in their home. When the person’s movements or behavior changes from that baseline, it may be an indication of a possible risk or deterioration of health and the system will flag this and send an alert to enable an intervention to be put into place. The system works with a mixture of technologies that can be worn or placed around the property dependent on the individual’s needs. On average a baseline of data will be available after 2 weeks.

The data and alerts produced by the system will go directly to the Alarm Receiving Centre who will triage and action the relevant intervention or onward referral.

The aim of the interventions is to prolong independence and reduce the need of further care or treatment being required.
