Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) Sufficiency Strategy

The strategy will provide intelligence on the assessed needs of children and young people with SEND to enable the council to make sufficient provision as part of its forward planning. It will include how the council will meet its duty to promote high standards of education and fair access to education.

It also has a general duty to secure sufficient schools in the area and to consider the need to secure provision for children and young people with SEND.

This will then inform the capital and revenue investment requirements now and in the future.
