On 29.07.21 Cabinet agreed to allocate
£220,000 from the climate reserve to establish a new Climate

projects across the county.
The Grant Scheme was launched in September 2021 and publicised
widely.
Applications were categorized into the following three
categories:

• Increase in biodiversity
• Community engagement in action on climate and nature
Applications were administered by the Council’s Delegated
Grants team and appraised by a grant appraisal panel consisting of
Herefordshire Council officers and a member from the Climate and
Nature Partnership Board.
The Climate and Nature Grant Panel met on Monday 6th December;
10th, 11th and 24th January and agreed to award the grants.
