Consultees

Public consultation on the publication draft MWLP took place during a 6-week period from April to May 2021. This specifically invited comments on soundness and legal aspects of its production from: statutory consultees; those on the MWLP database; and internal council officers, as well as being advertised to the wider general public.

The comments received have been fully taken into account and further work has been undertaken to address areas of concern raised. The changes to the MWLP that are consequently considered necessary and the reasons for them, are set out in two separate documents attached to this report. It is intended that these will be submitted to the secretary of state, along with the MWLP for consideration during the Plan's subsequent examination in public.
