HEREFORDSHIRE COUNCIL'S CHILDREN’S SERVICES SCRUTINY COMMITTEE

(As from the Council meeting on Friday 27 May 2011 issues are now considered by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.)

(Prior to May 05 issues were dealt with by Education Scrutiny Committee and Social Care and Housing Scrutiny Committee)

The purpose of the Committees was to ensure the accountability and transparency of the Council's decision making process.

The Children’s Services Scrutiny Committee reviewed:

The functions conferred on or exercisable by the Council in its capacity as a local education authority;

Functions conferred on or exercisable by the Council which are social services functions relating to children.
