EXPEDITED/SUMMARY LICENCE REVIEW OF THE PREMISES LICENCE: ZABKA, 16 EIGN GATE, HEREFORD, HR4 0AB - LICENSING ACT 2003 pdf icon PDF 284 KB

To consider an application for an ‘expedited licence review’ of the premises licence relating to ‘Zabka, 16 Eign Gate, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR4 0AB’ called by Inspector Nick Semper of the West Mercia Constabulary.

Members of the licensing panel of the council’s regulatory committee considered the above application, full details of which appeared before the members in their agenda and the background papers.

 

Prior to making their decision the Members heard from Inspector Nick Semper and Jim Mooney- representing West Mercia Police; and Mr Fred Spriggs, Licensing Officer Herefordshire Council.

 

Having carefully considered those matters brought before them and in reaching their decision, the members had full regard to both the provisions of the licensing act 2003 (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006), the guidance Issued under section 182 and the guidance issued under section 53A of the Licensing Act 2003 as amended and the Council’s Licensing Policy. 

 

DECISION

 

Hearing of the regulatory subcommittee held on 1 March 2016 in respect of an expedited review of the licenced premises known as Zabka at 16 Eign gate Hereford.

 

Having heard a summary of the evidence and received a report from the Council’s Licensing officer the committee has taken the interim step of suspending the licence for the above premises.

 

This matter will be further considered at a review hearing on Tuesday 29 March 2016 at 11:00am.

 

Note: the committee specifically asked for details of notice of documentation to be given in the light of the designated premises supervisor not attendance at the hearing. This was duly supplied by the police and Licencing Officer to the committee’s satisfaction.
