Purpose:

To approve the refresh of Herefordshire’s Sustainable Community Strategy for recommendation to Council.

Decision:

THAT Cabinet:

a) agrees the draft Sustainable Community Strategy, subject to amendments reflecting the views of Overview & Scrutiny Committee; and

b) agrees that the Leader, in consultation with the Chief Executive, finalise the draft for recommendation to Council.

Reasons for the decision:

To ensure the Sustainable Community Strategy is refreshed and the priorities identified for 2010-2013 are approved.

Alternative options considered:

There are no Alternative Options; every Local Authority is required to produce a Sustainable Community Strategy agreed by its Local Strategic Partnership.
