The decision to fund £3937.42 will fully utilise the Section
106 Contribution.
£11,337.58 has been previously spent to implement a Traffic
Regulation Order (TRO). Speeding through Tarrington is an ongoing
problem and a recent speed survey completed by West Mercia Police
in September 2O22 showed 48,823 vehicles over 7 days and an 85th
percentile speed of 39mph in a 30mph speed limit. The
implementation of the TRO completed on 30/04/2021.
A full tendering exercise has been carried out in accordance with
Herefordshire Councils Contract Procurement Rules (CPR). The Tender
information has been included within appendix 1.
The procurement exercise resulted in a final contract value of
£7600 with nominated contractor ElanCity-UK. The
£3937.42 allocation from Section 106 will contribute towards
the total cost of the project.
Responsibility for monitoring the project and managing expenditure
within the total spend budget is to be with the Programme
Manager.
