Purpose:

The Straight Mile Cycleway, Rotherwas – appropriation of land for highway purposes

To recognise the existing public use of The Straight Mile Cycleway which runs alongside the C1268. The route is an asset to the highway providing a key active travel link to Rotherwas. The remaining open verge area beside the cycleway will continue to be managed and maintained by the Hereford Enterprise Zone.


The Straight Mile Cycleway, Rotherwas – grant of land for highway purposes

• To recognise the existing public use of The Straight Mile Cycleway which runs alongside the C1268. The route is an asset to the highway providing a key active travel link to Rotherwas. The remaining open verge area beside the cycleway will continue to be managed and maintained by the Hereford Enterprise Zone.
• In order for the land to be appropriated to the public highway it must first be granted or ‘disposed’ by Property Services for that purpose, at nil consideration.To recognise the existing public use of The Straight Mile Cycleway which runs alongside the C1268. The route is an asset to the highway providing a key active travel link to Rotherwas. The remaining open verge area beside the cycleway will continue to be managed and maintained by the Hereford Enterprise Zone.
