In March 2019 a formal decision was taken to approve capital expenditure at Garrick Multi- Storey Car Park. This works included upgrades to the CCTV system to discourage anti-social behaviour.

New cameras have now been installed as part of this project, and a link from the existing stairwell cameras to the councils public space CCTV control room was required. As this works was undertaken it has been discovered that the existing DVR recording suite is not compatible with a real time link, and therefore requires replacement.

This decision approves expenditure to allow such replacement to take effect.

This work will also have the added benefit of allowing the CCTV operator to both access real time footage, and the ability to download footage immediately without attending the site.
