To approve, for implementation in April 2024 the council’s Workforce Strategy 2024-2028.

b) The strategy be approved for implementation.

1. The report could not be noted nor approved. This is not a recommended course of action as the workforce is one of the council’s key priorities that is subject to scrutiny.

The Workforce Strategy has been developed
through engagement with a number of internal groups. Namely;
Scrutiny Management Board, Corporate Leadership Team, Leadership
Group, Employee networks, open manager and staff sessions, all
staff briefings and through trade unions.
