There is a shortfall in budget for Symonds Yat project of £120,000. The budget allocated was based on a preliminary understanding and design of the scheme. Detailed investigations and design has enable a more accurate works costs to be estimated and this shortfall has been identified.

Symonds Yat work is considered high priority and the road here has been closed for a long period of time. This work will enable the road to be repaired and reopened and must be progressed. Therefore it is proposed that budget will be allocated from the resurfacing programme to enable this work to be completed.
