This portfolio is responsible for:

·       Waste Management Strategy

·       Waste collection and disposal

·       Cabinet Commission on Phosphates

·       Planning services, land use strategies including CoreStrategy

·       Environmental and conservation promotion, protection and sustainability including response to climateemergency.

·       Policy development, quality assurance, external liaison, performanceimprovement and risk assurance relevant to the portfolio at all times having regard to the cross cutting priorities of thecouncil

·       Any other specific responsibilities as allocated by theleader
