The General Scrutiny Committee was a scrutiny committee (2012-2022) which had the following remit:

·             Services within the economy, communities and corporate directorate

·             Corporate performance

·             Budget and policy framework matters

·             Statutory flood risk management scrutiny powers

·             Statutory community safety and policing scrutiny powers

From the Annual Meeting of Council on 20 May 2022, the functions transferred to the following committees:

Connected Communities Scrutiny Committee

Environment and Sustainability Scrutiny Committee

Scrutiny Management Board
