Decision details
Brimfield and Orleton Property Flood Resilience Scheme
Decision Maker: Acting Assistant Director for Highways and Transport
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
The locations of Brimfield and Orleton are two
settlements within the county at which we have been trying to
mitigate flood risk. A PFR scheme has been identified as being
suitable and we would like to commence this project which has been
identified in the Herefordshire Public Realm Contract Annual Plan
2020/21. The funding required for this scheme, which has been
estimated as being £198,880 is from Local Levy funding. These
funds are raised by a levy on local authorities. The Levy can be
used as a discretionary contribution from the English Severn and
Wye Regional Flood and Coastal Committee to invest in flood and
coastal erosion risk management
