To receive a summary of the key risks faced by the Council and the mitigating actions being applied to control them.

That

(a)               Sufficient mitigating actions are being undertaken on the corporate and significant service risks outlined in the report to safeguard the Council’s business and reputation;

(b)               No changes will be made to the existing risk management strategy for 2005/6;

(c)               a further annual review of the strategy will be held in March 2006;

(d)               that quarterly exception reports be made to Cabinet Members on their areas of responsibility; and

(e)               workplans be devised to assist in this process

Consideration of risk management issues is required to safeguard the Council’s business reputation.
