Purpose:

To implement a Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which would be to reduce the existing forty miles per hour speed restriction to thirty miles per hour in Adforton.

Decision:

That subject to the consideration of any objections a Traffic Regulation Order is introduced, the effect of which would be to impose a maximum speed of thirty miles per hour in Adforton as follows:

i)          A4110

From a point 297 metres north of its junction with the U92006, for a distance of 637 metres in a southerly direction. 

 

ii)            U92006

From its junction with the A4110 for a distance of 430 metres in a westerly direction.

Reasons for the decision:

The reduction of the existing forty miles per hour speed restriction to thirty miles per hour should improve road safety on the A4110 through Adforton, whilst also allaying the fears of residents regarding vehicular speeds.

Alternative options considered:

The proposed reduction of the existing forty miles per hour speed restriction to thirty miles per hour in Adforton is not implemented.
