To approve a framework setting out the council's approach to partnership working, helping to strengthen accountability and ensure working arrangements are as efficient as possible.

THAT:

(a) the draft framework for partnership governance at appendix 1 be approved.

To improve the robustness and transparency of governance arrangements when the

council is working in partnership.

The council could choose not to adopt a framework for partnership governance. This

is not recommended as there is then no consistency of approach, or process for

ensuring transparency and accountability of partnership activity.
