To consider and approve a review of the Trade Waste Charges, which reflect annual inflation, increase in Landfill Tax, the actual cost of disposal to include on costs levied under the contractual agreement and the supply of containers

THAT

            (a)Trade Waste Charges as listed in the attached appendix be approved for use from 1^st April 2007 and that current customers be advised accordingly before the date of commencement and;

(b)              In determining the charges for 2008/9 further increases be made to recover the full cost of disposal.

To continue in the provision of a collection service requested by commercial customers and to introduce charges that will more accurately reflect the actual costs of the service.

Fees and charges remain at the level for 2006/7but this would have substantial budgetary implications especially if traders switch from the commercial sector to the service provided through the Council.

Increase charges only by the rate of inflation. However, this would not recover the increased costs imposed upon the Council.

Increase charges to the actual cost of providing the service .It is anticipated that a rise of this magnitude in one step will have a substantial impact upon the current customer base.
