To obtain Member’s decision on the negotiations for the connection of foul drains through Rotherwas Industrial Estate for the benefit of a commercial development site adjoining the Council’s estate, without which the development of the adjoining land cannot progress. The owners of the adjoining land are Eastside 2000/Andrew Howells


THAT if the District Valuer be appointed to value the benefit of a drainage connection to Eastside 2000 land should Eastside 2000 not be prepared to negotiate on the two acres of flood attenuation land

Reasons for the decision:

Planning consent was granted for the development of the Fordshill site as a waste Recycling Centre on 24/07/02 subject to a number of conditions, one being a connection to mains foul drainage. It would appear the optimum route is via the Councils land to the mains connection although it is understood there are two other alternatives Eastside 2000 do not want to progress either route as options
