To receive a report on the review of Herefordshire Council support to the Community and Voluntary Sector (CVS), and to consider approving the report’s recommendations, and taking account of the amendments proposed by the Strategic Monitoring Committee.

THAT the review recommendations be progressed (subject to the amendments proposed by the Strategic Monitoring Committee being taken into consideration) in consultation with Voluntary Sector Organisations with a view to implementing any changes in 2006/07 and subject to the Council approving the Budget Panel’s recommendations on the Voluntary Sector Budget.

To seek to ensure that the Council is securing best value for money from its support to the voluntary sector and that its arrangements for funding support represent best practice.

The alternative option would be to do nothing.
