To update members of the progress of the Friar Street Store project.

THAT a capital bid be submitted to the Capital Working Group for match funding to the Phase 3 Heritage Lottery application covering three financial years.

To progress with the development of Phase 3 of the Friar Street Store as part of a four phase development plan.

That Phase 3 is not pursued.  This would result in certain items in the collection, principally, the fine art collection not having a suitable storage location, insufficient expansion to house our commitment to the archaeological archive and a continued lack of facilities to provide access and learning opportunities to the collections.  It is very likely that the Heritage Lottery Fund will continue to support the Friar Street Store project as they have already committed to Phases 1 and 2 and the project planning for Phase 3.  Phase 4, a redeveloped museum and art gallery, would not receive support without commitment to Phase 3.
