Following consultation with schools, the report seeks formal approval of the virtual learning environment (VLE) platform arrangements and signing of the contract with the preferred supplier of the VLE service.

The reasons for the recommendation are that following a procurement process a preferred supplier has been selected to provide a virtual learning environment for schools in the county. This will enable them to meet requirements for an online learning platform.
