1. The land at Hopleys Green is a registered common owned by the council who have been approached by Western Power Distribution seeking a right of access over the existing access ways that cross the land
2. The grant of the right will enable WPD to install and maintain a regulator on other land in the vicinity which will improve the reliability and resilience of the local power supply
3. The right is in respect of access only and no additional cables or equipment will be installed on council owned land
4. WPD will meet all the council’s fees and costs in the matter.
5. The grant of the right will be advertised if required in line with statutory requirements for the disposal of legal interests in commons/public open space and the deed will be drafted by the legal team to ensure that the council’s position is fully protected
