Decision to extend the public spaces protection order for dog control for a further 3 years

In March 2018 The public spaces protection order regarding dog fouling, keeping dogs on a lead, not putting a dog on a lead when directed to by an officer and the exclusion of dogs from certain areas was created and was for 3 years. Under the legislation the council can extend the order for a further 3 years. The issue around dog fouling is particular issue in the local community and gives the council ability to take action where necessary.
