SolarWinds is used to maintain and monitor their network equipment, this includes:

• Network Performance Monitor – monitors the availability, bandwidth utilisation and other metrics of network equipment
• Network Configuration Manager – backs up the configuration of networking equipment
• IP Address Management – database of the in use IP address space used on the network to avoid duplication
• Voice and Network Quality – Monitor the quality of the network, and the experience of voice over the network.

A further procurement process is not required due to the cost of this upgrade complying with the Councils Contract Procurement Rules in varying a contract and the cost of the upgrade being less than 50% of the original total contract value.

The current Solarwinds contract allows for additional licenses/nodes to be added and this will be done on behalf of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (H&W CCG).

The initial upfront cost for this upgrade will be £6,095.25 (exc VAT) with further costs of £1,219.05 per annum until the contract expires (9th December 2022). Total cost for this upgrade will be £8,533.35.

H&W CCG will be paying for this upgrade in total.
