Consultees
There is no formal requirement for any public
consultation. However, during April to June 2018, the parish
council set up a task and finish group to undertake consultation
with the local community on proposals to change the name of the
parish council. Notices were placed on all the parish notice boards
and in the local newsletter for the months of April and May
inviting comments by 8th June 2018. Nine responses from members of
the community were received, of those eight were in favour of the
proposed name change and one was opposed. Of the responses received
this equated to 88.8% for the proposed change of name, with 11.15%
opposed to it.
