Priory Wood Road Resurfacing
The roads in Priory Wood have increasingly become dangerous due
to extensive potholes and poor rainwater drainage.
A constant cycle of temporary repairs has failed and is not cost
effective.

Council response
Thank you for your petition.
We have been clear that roads are a priority for the Council. As such, over the last 18 months alone we have committed over £43 million of our own capital funding into this area, with a particular focus on carriageway condition. We have already delivered a lot (https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/travel-and-transport/roads/herefordshire-road-investment/road-surface-dressing-and-resurfacing/#map) but we recognise that there is more to do.
Officers visited the area on 12 March 2026 to discuss the matter with local residents and the Ward Member for Golden Valley North. It was explained that Priory Wood would form part of our 2026/27 investment programme and we can confirm that surfacing works are currently scheduled to take place between 9 and 15 July 2026.
