• The Greencroft Centre was built as a Children’s Centre using government SureStart funding. It is in an area of high need.
• With a re-organisation of services, excess space in the building was taken up by the school, which took over running of the building as a whole.
• As the building is shared between the school, children’s services and a private nursery it has been decided to exclude the building as a whole from the 125 yr Academy lease that is to be granted to the Fern Multi-Academy Trust.
• Consequently, Herefordshire Council will resume overall control and management of the building and grant a lease to the school (Fern Multi-Academy Trust) for a term of 15 years.
