Following the decision of Full Council to stop progress on the Southern Link Road and Western Bypass, the land acquired by Herefordshire Council is no longer required by.

Under the terms of the acquisition, should the Council decide not to proceed with the highway scheme then it must be offered back to its former owner.

It is therefore incumbent on the Council to now formally offer the land back to its former owner.

The mechanism for offering back the land is by way of Right of First Refusal Notice.
