Approval to award a contract for Centera Replacement Hardware for Herefordshire Council
Currently the Herefordshire Council are using
EMC Centera storage for data archive and long-term storage. The
current setup is resilient with a unit in both of the council data
centres connected via dark fibre providing Ethernet and Fibre
channel links between. The applications are currently writing to
the Centera using CAS and RBS connections.
The current EMC Centera storage at Herefordshire Council needs to be replaced due to the system reaching the end of main line for hardware and software support.
