Purchase of wheeled bins
Budget is provided within the Environment
& Waste budgets for the purchase of such stock. There is
sufficient money in these budgets to make this purchase.
These bins are necessary for the provision of the trade waste collection service for continued new customers and as replacements for bins which have reached the end of their useable life.
They are also necessary for the provision of containers at new and existing communal development properties.
There is no conflict with any council policy, strategy or service plan.
This decision does not amend existing policy nor raise new policy issues.
In accordance with the council’s procurement guidance for a medium value contracts, best value has been obtained by comparing the prices of the 6 suppliers on the ESPO 860 Framework Agreement. A & C Weber has the lowest price on the framework for these type of bins.
