Pedestrian crossing needed.

We the undersigned petition the council to Erect a pedestrian crossing area in Wigmore.

This is greatly needed on the main road through wigmore {A4110} and at the main Primary School entrance on Ford street.
The volume of traffic including lorries makes crossing these roads very dangerous particularly on the A4110 where you cannot see traffic approaching in certain places.
Wigmore has over 700 residents of varying ages and all who use the Schools or the shop find it a dangerous activity crossing the road. There have been instances where a family trying to cross the road were in extreme danger while attempting to cross.
It would also aid childrens learning of road safety as there would be a designated crossing area.
Please help the residents/visitors of Wigmore.

Response from Highways (22/2/2018):

Please direct the request to Balfour Beatty Living Places at herefordshireliaison@bblivingplaces.com and they will process the request.

There are then two options: if the request is assessed as a required change it will be added to the programme of works or; if assessed as a required change the Parish Council may wish to fund this to accelerate the change.

Alternatively if assessed as not viable/suitable the enquirer will receive a response providing an explanation.
