Minutes:

Members of the licensing sub committee of the council’s planning and regulatory committee considered the above application, full details of which appeared before the Members in their agenda and the background papers.

Prior to making their decision the members heard from Fred Spriggs, licensing officer.    Members also heard from the applicant, Charmaine Nicola Danter.

Miss Danter explained that she wanted to extend the premises hours to 0300 in order to have a staggered closing time.   It was also noted that there had been 50 temporary event notices (TENS) over the last five years with no problems reported.

Following questions from Members, Miss Danter confirmed that she:

·                did keep a log book for complaints but none had been received.

·                lived next door to the premises and knew her neighbours and they had not raised any issues.

·                restricted entry to the premises at 0130 hrs.

·                was happy with the conditions agreed with  by the police.

DECISION

This is the decision of the licensing sub-committee in respect of a variation to the premises licence concerning Jacqueline's Nite Spot and JD's Bar, 24 Broad Street , Ross on Wye, HR9 7ED.

It is the committee’s decision that the application to vary should be granted in terms sought subject to conditions already agreed with the responsible authorities, the mandatory conditions and the conditions consistent with those put forward in the operating schedule.
