The decision has been taken to:
1. Award SEN Transport contract numbers BM230S and BC585S as
follows:
Contract BM230S – Blackmarston School. Awarded to Blue Line
Taxis for a 3 week term commencing 3rd December 2018 at a total
value of £2,850. 1 Compliant bid was received. This is an
additional contract required to provide statutory transport for an
SEN student.
Contract BC585S – Barrs Court School. Awarded to High Town
Taxis for a 3 year term commencing 9th January 2019 at an annual
value of £16,446. 4 Compliant bids were received. This
contract replaces contract BC680S achieving an annual saving of
£12,054.
The net effect of tendering these contracts is a reduction in SEN
transport contracting costs of £9,204 in the current
financial year.
2. Award mainstream Transport contract numbers LSH1A, STJ9A, STJ9P,
WGM19 and PEM19 as follows:
Contract LSH1A – Weobley Primary & High Schools. Awarded
to Blue Line Taxis for a 1 year term commencing 9th January 2019 at
a total value of £16,720. 1 Compliant bid was received. This
is a new contract required to provide transport to students with
statutory entitlement.
Contract STJ9A – St Joseph’s School. Awarded to High
Town Taxis for a 7 month term commencing 9th January 2019 at a
total value of £3,817. 2 Compliant bids were received. This
is a new contract required to provide transport to students with
statutory entitlement.
Contract STJ9P – St Joseph’s School. Awarded to Blue
Line Taxis for a 7 month term commencing 9th January 2019 at a
total value of £4,680. 2 Compliant bids were received. This
is a new contract required to provide transport to students with
statutory entitlement.
Contract WGM19 – Wigmore School. Awarded to PC & PD
Harley for a 7 month term commencing 9th January 2019 at a total
value of £21,762. 3 Compliant bids were received. This
contract replaces contract WGM11.
Contract PEM19 – Pembridge Primary School. Awarded to Blue
Line Taxis for a 7 month term commencing 9th January 2019 at a
total value of £18,720. 2 Compliant bids were received. This
contract replaces contract PEM01.
The net effect of tendering these contracts is an increase in
mainstream transport contracting costs of £15,178 in the
current financial year.
